Hi, I’m Ali Gesk, the creator behind Fun All Clay, my polymer clay earring business, cleverly named by my oldest son. As a mom of three young boys, I realized I needed something that was just for me, a creative escape filled with joy, quiet, and a little bit of peace. That’s how this journey began. Over the past year, making earrings has become more than just a hobby; it’s a passion that brings me so much happiness. With the support of my incredible friends and family, who have not only cheered me on but also tested countless pairs, I took the leap to turn this creative love into a business.

The process of making polymer clay earrings is both intricate and exciting, with endless opportunities to learn. I start by mixing colors, rolling the clay through a pasta machine repeatedly to blend hues and remove air bubbles. Then, I use a polymer clay cutter—similar to a tiny, precise cookie cutter—to shape the clay. Once I’ve created the perfect shape, I bake the pieces in the oven, then carefully sand and buff the edges with a hand rotary tool. If I want a glossy finish, I apply two coats of UV resin, curing each under a UV lamp for 30 minutes. The result is beautifully crafted, extremely lightweight earrings that are comfortable for all ages to wear.

I love sharing my process with friends and their kids—it’s been such a joy to learn. One of the most exciting moments in my journey was when my family surprised me with a 3D printer for Christmas. Now, designing and printing my own cutters at home has opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities!  I’m thrilled to share my handmade earrings with others, bringing a little joy and creativity to those who wear them 😊
